Mural was our first venture into the quickly growing West Seattle market. Because of this, we wanted to take the time to understand the neighborhood and its residents so the project would provide something new and fresh while honoring the area and integrating into its surroundings. Our team joined neighborhood groups, volunteered for Chamber committees and became an active participant in the community. We selected the name Mural to pay homage to the many historical murals found throughout downtown West Seattle. We also commissioned a local West Seattle artist, Kelly Rae Cunningham, to create a 12 foot by 10-foot mural for the development.

Mural was a highly anticipated project in West Seattle, embraced by the community and business leaders. We were able to quickly lease the retail space in a challenging economic environment, where retail vacancies were climbing. Authentic, locally owned retailers include Fresh Bistro by Herban Feast, Wallflower (a custom framing and art gallery) and Seasons Hair Salon.
